RESOLUTION NO.TB-2023-002 WHEREAS, the Transportation Department of the City of Round Rock ("City") has proposed a project to construct sidewalk improvements in the City; and WHEREAS, whereas the proposed project is named the 2022 Arterial Sidewalk Project (the "Proposed Project") and is described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, one of the purposes of the Round Rock Transportation and Economic Development Corporation ("TEDCO") is to approve the construction of projects related to recreational or community facilities, pursuant to Sec. 505.152 of the Texas Local Government Code (the "Code"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to §505.159 of the Code, the Board of Directors of TEDCO held a public hearing on the Proposed Project; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Board heard evidence that the Proposed Project meets the definition of a"project" under the terms of§505.159 of the Code; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that the Proposed Project meets the requirements of the Code and should be approved, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ROUND ROCK TRANSPORTATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, That the 2022 Arterial Sidewalk Project meets the requirements of the Code and said Project is hereby approved. The Board of Directors hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551,Texas Government Code, as amended. 0112.20232;4875-3066-6057 RESOLVED this 23rd day of February, 2023. The bids ranged from $567,275.00 to $953,400. M & C Fonseca Co., Inc. from Granite Shoals, Texas, submitted the lowest bid in the amount of$567,275.00, The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for this project was$553,520.00. References provided by M & C Fonseca Co., Inc. were checked and no significant issues were reported. After reviewing the contractor's experience, references, and bid price, I recommend award of this project to M & C Fonseca Co., Inc. in the amount of$567,275.00.
