Text of Legislative File CM-2023-147
The initial contract for the Material Testing Services associated with Kenney Fort Blvd. Seg. 2 & 3 project
that is currently under construction was approved by council March loth, 2022. The selected lab for this
testing is Raba Kistner Consulting Co.. The initial contract is in the amount of $133,140.08.
Due to construction methods chosen by JD Abrams, they amount of density testing for storm sewer
backfill, and utility pipe backfill was underestimated in the original contract. The additional amount to
continue to test the project is $64,954.04. This would bring the total contract to $198,094.12 which is still
well below 1% of the overall project cost.
