Scope of Work
Prepare the surfaces to be blasted as follows:
Protect areas outside work area to prevent over-blast
Abrasive blast all coating in work area to SSPC-SP10
At tie in where new coating will overlap existing,orbital sand to obtain anchor profile
Apply the following coating system on the floor ring,2 feet up the cone and dome, and around the
circumferential seam of the dome plate to riser ring:
First Coat: Tnemec Series 20 Pota-Pox(3-5 mils DFT)
Final Coat:Tnemec Series 141 Epoxoline(10-12 mils DFT)
Note: Price is based on blasting to SSPC-SP 10 on entire work area,however if it is found that the
coating is still adhered using an SSPC-SP7 and signed off by all involved, then Alpha Painting
will coat over the existing coating and provide cost savings. Alpha Painting will not warranty any
work where our coating is going over an existing coating.
Note: Payment Terms Net 30 days

PROPOSAL FOR SERVICES
For
Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority
HOT Inspection Services, Inc. (HOT) hereby offers to perform the following work on
the 2MMG CET Repair Project for Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority, at the
price, terms, and conditions listed herein:
SCOPE:
The scope of services to be provided as related to the construction phase of the tank
coatings repair project is listed below.
A. Construction Phase
1. Conduct on site visits to provide Quality Assurance Surveillance and observe
The progress and quality of the executed work in accordance with the
Contract Documents, Accepted Repair Scope and AWWA D102 Standard. In
performing these services, reasonable measures will be taken to protect the
BCRUA against defects and deficiencies in the work of the Contractor.
Responsibility for the actual supervision of construction operations or for
the safety measures that the contractor takes or should take cannot be
guaranteed.
HOT proposes to provide an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and NACE
Certified Coating Inspector with 33 years of experience in tank construction.
More information may be obtained from the company website at
hotinspection.com. The objective of this project is to provide quality
assurance surveillance of the sandblasting and painting during the repair of
the referenced water tanks listed below.
• 2,000,000-gallon CET
Sandblasting and Coating Inspection
-Pre-surface preparation inspection
-Measurement of ambient conditions
-Evaluation of compressor and surface preparation equipment
-Determination of surface preparation cleanliness and profile

-Inspection of application equipment
-Witnessing coating mixing
-Inspecting coating application
-Determination of dry film thickness
-Evaluating cleanliness between coats
-Witness holiday testing conducted by the contractor
-Evaluate cure
-Prepare daily reports
2. The inspection methods to be implemented for the sandblasting and coating
inspections will consist of visual inspections, mil gauging, holiday testing,
profile gauging and atmospheric measuring. All inspections will verify
compliance with the AWWA D102-06 and contract specifications. A NACE
Certified Coatings Inspector will conduct all coatings related inspections.
The measurement of air temperature, surface temperature, humidity, dew
point, coating thickness and holiday detection will be recorded in an
inspectors logbook. The equipment to obtain such measurements will be
supplied by HOT.
WORK EXCLUDED:
Work required for safely accessing the tank is not included in the cost of this project.
It will be the contractor's responsibility for providing safe access to all areas of the
tank for inspection and testing during the construction. OSHA approved staging will
be necessary for the complete access of the tank.
PRICE:
The cost for the above-mentioned service is based on a portal to portal hourly rate
of $100.00/hr. from Salado, Texas An estimate not to exceed price is extended
based on the scope of work and time to perform of two weeks. Overtime,holiday or
weekend work will be billed at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
TotalNTE Cost..............................................................................................$10,000.00
TERMS:
This proposal is offered to acceptance within 45 days. Payments to be made within
30 days of invoice date.

CONDITIONS:
This proposal assumes that the tank site will be accessible and that any restrictions
requiring special work to obtain the necessary access will affect the cost of this
proposal.
INSURANCE:
HOT to provide insurance certificate upon request. HOT carries Commercial
General Liability (1,000,000 aggregate), Auto Liability (500,00) and Worker
Compensation. Professional Liability (Errors and Omissions) may be obtained at a
fee equal to the premium amount
TIME OF PERFORMANCE:
All inspection visits will be conducted on a hold-point basis or at the discretion of
the inspector as required for maintaining a timely and quality construction
schedule.

Should you find this proposal acceptable at the prices,terms,and conditions offered,
please indicate your acceptance by signing in the space provided or issue a purchase
order.
