WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority
wishes to amend the BCRUA Annual Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023, in
accordance with the attached proposal, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BRUSHY
CREEK REGIONAL UTILITY AUTHORITY:
That the amendment to the BCRUA Annual Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023
be adopted, subject to the approval of the Participating Cities, as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes.
The Board of Directors hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour,
place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such
meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by
the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: 6B. Consider a resolution approving an amendment to the BCRUA Annual Operating
Budget.

BACKGROUND:
On June 22, 2022,the BCRUA Board approved the Fiscal Year 2023 Operating and Debt Service Budgets.
On August 24, 2022, the BCRUA Board authorized the issuance of contract revenue bonds for City of
Leander in the amount of$40,000,000.This approval authorized the collection of funds from the City of
Leander and payment of the ensuing debt service requirements, which were not included in the Fiscal
Year 2023 budget.Accordingly,staff requests an increase of$2,438,563 to Leander's debt service budget,
from$8,214,489,to$10,653,052 for Fiscal Year 2023.
BCRUA staff and the Operations Committee (OC) have reviewed this proposed budget and recommend
Board approval.
