SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT NO. 1
TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
FIRM: WAELTZ & PRETE,INC. ("Engineer")

PROJECT: Downtown Small Waterline Replacement
This Supplemental Contract No. 1 to Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between
the City of Round Rock,Texas,hereinafter called the"City"and Waeltz&Prete, Inc.,hereinafter
called the "Engineer."
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter
called the "Contract," on the 22nd day of August, 2024 for the Downtown Small Waterline
Replacement Project in the amount of$166,781.86; and
WHEREAS,it has become necessary to amend the Contract to modify the provisions for the scope
of services and to increase the compensation by $14,750.00 to a total of$181,531.86;
NOW THEREFORE,premises considered,the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract is
amended as follows:
I.
Article 2,Engineering Services and Exhibit B,Engineering Services shall be amended as set forth
in the attached Addendum to Exhibit B. Exhibit C, Work Schedule shall be amended as set forth
in the attached Addendum to Exhibit C.
II.
Article 4, Compensation and Exhibit D, Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by
$14,750.00 the maximum amount payable under the Contract for a total of$181,531.86,as shown
by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental Contract
in duplicate.

ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT "B"
ENGINEERING SERVICES
1. PROJECT START-UP:
a. Project Kick-Off Meeting. Coordinate with the City of Round Rock to identify
project goals, schedules, and design elements.
b. Gather, assemble, and review existing As-Built information within project limits.
c. Site visits.
2. PROJECT COORDINATION & MEETINGS:
a. Project coordination meetings with the City of Round Rock throughout the design
process (Assumes 3 — 2 hour meetings: 30%, 90%, 100%).
b. Coordinate and meet with the project Team for items such as schedule, design
coordination, and deliverables (Includes Project Surveyor).
DESIGN PHASE (CD):
Waeltz & Prete, Inc. shall prepare detailed construction plans for the project. The
project scope includes the design of water line replacements at 7 various
locations (See attached exhibits). Scope of services to include preparation of
construction drawings, specifications, & Engineer's Opinion of Probable
Construction Cost.
3. CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS (CD —30%, 90% & 100%):
The Final Construction Drawings will include:
a. City of Round Rock General Construction Notes and Project Specific Notes.
b. Overall Project Site Plan.
c. Demo Plans.
d. Erosion, Sedimentation, & Tree Protection Plans.
e. Utility Plans.
f. Traffic Control Plans.
g. Construction Details, as required.
h. Prepare plan submittals at 30%, 90%, and 100%.
i. Revise "Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost" for 30%, 90% &
100% submittal.
j. QA/QC— In house.

4. PERMIT PROCESSING:
a. Process plans for approval through the City of Round Rock's Utilities &
Environmental Services Department.
5. BIDDING:
a. Preparation of the City of Round Rock's standard contract documents and
specifications.
b. Issue addendums/clarifications, if required.
c. Attend and preside over the pre-bid conference & bidding opening.
d. Prepare bid tabulations and assist the City of Round Rock with the evaluation of
bids and recommendations of the Contractor.
6. CONSTRUCTION PHASE:
a. Attend and preside over the preconstruction meeting.
b. Attend bimonthly project progress meetings (assumes 5 months construction).
c. Assist with pay application reviews and recommendations.
d. Review of submittals, shop drawings, and samples.
e. Respond to RFI's, if required.
f. Periodic site visits (Assumes 2 per month).
g. Preparation of final punch list.
h. Issue "Engineer's Concurrence Letter" at project completion.
i. Preparation of "Record Drawings". Waeltz & Prete will make changes to plans
based upon Contractor's "mark-ups".
7. DESIGN & TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY (SUB-CONSULTANT— DIAMOND SURVEY):
a. Waeltz & Prete will secure the surveying services from Diamond Survey for
professional land surveying. The scope will be to provide design & topographic
survey. Their proposal and detailed scope of service is attached directly behind
the Civil Scope of Services.
8. REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES:
a. All copying, purchases of maps and documents, tax certificates, deeds, plats,
printing of reports and plans, mailing, courier, express/overnight and other
related expenses shall be charged at cost.
9. SUPLIMENTAL#1 — DESIGN OF ALLEY WASTEWATE LINE:

a. Provide additional topographic surveying scope of services. Survey services to
be provided by subconsultants Diamond Surveying, Inc.
b. Provide additional engineering scope of services. Design of replacement
wastewater line within the existing alley. (See attached scope limits).
CLARIFICATIONS
• The scope for Area 6 is not entirely known. Water line easements for the existing
and proposed infrastructure will be determined through the design process.
Once the total number of easements are verified, a supplemental services fee
will be initiated for those easements.
• The scope excludes Subsurface Utility Engineering for existing infrastructure.
Existing utilities will be located based upon provide as-built drawings, 811
Locates, &visible utilities.
• The City Attorney's office will aid with title searches, if needed.
• The Surveyor will send Right-of-Entry letters as noted in their proposal. The city
will assist with landowner's that deny access to the project areas.
