3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT CODE,
4 CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE VIII, SECTION 2-91, REGARDING VETERINARY
5 CLINIC HOURS IN THE C-2 (LOCAL COMMERCIAL)ZONING DISTRICT,
6 CODE OF ORDINANCES (2018 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
7 TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING
8 CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS.

10 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
11 TEXAS:
12 I.
13 That Zoning and Development Code, Chapter 2, Article VIII, Section 2-91(00),
14 Code of Ordinances (2018 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended as
15 follows:
16 CHAPTER 2. ZONING DISTRICTS AND USE REGULATIONS
17 Sec. 2-91. — Supplementary use standards.
18 (oo) Veterinary clinic, small animals.
19 (1) Any veterinary clinic, small animals in the OF-1 district shall be limited to regular service hours
20 beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.
21 (2) Kennel facilities shall be limited to indoors and incidental to animals being treated at the facility.
22 (3) Ancillary sales of pet care products, including but not limited to, prescription food, medications,
23 and grooming accessories shall be limited to no more than ten percent of the gross floor area of
24 the facility.
25 (4) Cremation services shall be prohibited.

27 II.
28 A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are
29 expressly repealed.
30 B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not
31 invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.

1 C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date,
2 hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted
3 and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which
4 this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally
5 acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government
6 Code, as amended.

8 By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the
9 Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate
10 days was dispensed with.
