WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for the Gattis School Road
Segment 6 Project; and
WHEREAS, Smith Contracting Co., Inc. has submitted the lowest responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Smith Contracting Co., Inc., Now
Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City a contract
with Smith Contracting Co., Inc. for the Gattis School Road Segment 6 Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

Dear City of Round Rock:
The bid opening for City of Round Rock, Gattis School Road Segment 6 was conducted on Thursday
September 25, 2025. Five (5) bids were received for Gattis School Road Segment 6 and the bid
tabulation is attached for information. Smith Contracting Co., Inc. is the apparent low responsive
bidder for this project with a bid of$20,453,212.86. Contractors for this project were subject to the
minimum qualifications outlined in the Project Manual and the apparent low responsive bidder
meets those qualifications.
Based solely on the bids, as submitted, it is hereby recommended that the bid and construction
contract for the project referenced above be awarded to Smith Contracting Co., Inc. Please let us
know if you have questions or are in need of additional information.
