R- 00- 03- 09 -10A1 WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) is soliciting applications for HOME Investment Partnership Program funding under several housing programs, and WHEREAS, Ameri-Link Mortgage will request funds from TDHCA for Homebuyer Assistance in the amount of $250,000 to assist homebuyers in Central Texas, and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock is dedicated to creating affordable housing opportunities and wishes to show its support for this housing activity, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City Council hereby declares its support for the submittal of a Homebuyer Assistance Application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs by the Ameri -Link Mortgage Company. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. Ameri -Link Mortgage is applying for $250,000 in HOME money to use for downpayment assistance for low to moderate income families in Williamson, Travis, and Hays counties. This program would enhance the City's current down payment assistance program by providing assistance for families in the extraterritorial jurisdiction.
