Amendment to Engineering Contract
Dear Mr. Miller:
This letter is in response to your request for additional engineering services to replace
MCC -1 at the Booster Pump Station. It is anticipated that a one -line diagram, an
instrumentation interface diagram, a schematic diagram and a pump station layout
drawing will be required for the design. The engineering cost associated with this work
is $12,000.00. It is estimated that with a notice to proceed date of May 10, 2000, we will
complete the design by May 26, 2000.
I have attached Amendment No. 2 that amends the appropriate paragraphs of the
Engineering Services Agreement and is in the form for execution.
If you have any questions or need additional information, let me know.
Sincerely,
CAMP DRESSER & McKEE INC.

DATE: May 19, 2000
SUBJECT: City Council Meeting — May 25, 2000
ITEM: 11.C.3. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract
amendment with Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc. for the
engineering work associated with the replacement of the Motor
Control Center No.1 at the water plant high service pump station.
During the course of construction and replacement of the existing
Motor Control Center No. 2, it became evident that the replacement
of MCC —1 would be prudent due to the age of the equipment.
Also, the timing of the replacement is possible because of new
related pumping equipment coming on -line in June. Staff
recommends approval of the contract amendment to facilitate future
construction. Staff Resource Person: Jim Nuse, Public Works
Director.
