R- 00- 06- 22 -11A1 WHEREAS, the Oak Bluff Homeowners Association has requested that Twin Ridge Parkway from its intersection with Meadow Run to its intersection with Misty Woods be closed from 10:30 o'clock a.m. until 11:00 o'clock a.m. on July 1, 2000 for an Independence Day parade, and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to grant such request, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That Twin Ridge Parkway be closed as set out above for an Independence Day parade. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. Motor vehicles will not be allowed. We will begin the parade at the intersection of Twin Ridge Parkway and the north entrance of Meadow Run. We will continue up the southbound side of Twin Ridge Parkway and end at the intersection of Twin Ridge and Misty Woods. We will serve refreshments in the cul -de -sac of Misty Woods. The parade route is approximately one -half mile and should take 15 to 20 minutes. This year's parade route is identical to the Independence Day parade routes of the previous years. I am coordinating the parade with the Round Rock Police and Fire Departments. The Oak Bluff Home Owners Association has requested approval of the 2000 Independence Day parade. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 1' at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Twin Ridge Parkway and the north entrance of Meadow Run and continue on the southbound side of Twin Ridge Parkway and end at the intersection of Twin Ridge and Misty Woods.
