WHEREAS, the Frontier Days Corporation, in celebration of the
36th Annual Frontier Days event, has requested that the following
intersections along the parade route be closed from 10:00 o'clock a.m.
until 11:30 o'clock a.m. on October 7, 2000 for the Frontier Days
Parade: Round Rock Avenue and Lee Street, Round Rock Avenue and San
Saba Street, Round Rock Avenue and Brown Street, Round Rock Avenue and
Blair Street, East Main Street and North Mays Street, East Main Street
and Lampasas Street, East Main Street and Shepard Street, East Main
Street and Burnet Street, East Main Street and Lewis Street, East Main
Street and Stone Street, East Main Street and Black Street, East Main
Street and Georgetown Street, and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to grant such request, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
That the intersections along the parade route be closed as set
forth above from 10:00 o'clock a.m. until 11:30 o'clock a.m. on October
7, 2000 for the Frontier Days Parade.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended, and the Act.

The Frontier Days Corporation requests the following streets be closed to all vehicular traffic
during the hours specified in order to safely conduct the 36 annual Frontier Days event.
October 6, 2000 2:00pm to mid -night
October 7, 2000 9:OOam to 1:OOam
East Main Street from North Mays Street to Burnet Street
Lampasas from Bagdad Avenue to Liberty Avenue
(the parking garage entrance to remain open from Bagdad)
The Frontier Days parade will be held on October 7, 2000, 10:OOam to 11:30am,and will cross
the following intersections:

Round Rock Avenue and Lee Street
San Saba Street
Brown Street
Blair Street
East Main Street and North Mays Street
Lampasas Street
Shepard Street
Bumet Street
Lewis Street
Stone Street
Black Street
Georgetown Street
The parade will be staged at C. D. Fulkes Middle School and end at the Sam Bass Ball Park.

ITEM: 9.D.3. Consider a resolution authorizing the closing of a portion of
Anderson Avenue, Lee Street, Round Rock Avenue and E. Main
Street from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2000
for the Frontier Days Parade. The Frontier Days Corporation has
requested that the following streets be closed for this year's
Frontier Days Parade. The parade will begin at C. D. Fulkes Middle
School and proceed west on W. Anderson Avenue to Lee Street;
south on Lee Street to Round Rock Avenue; east on Round Rock
Avenue to E. Main Street; east on E. Main Street to the Sam Bass
