RESOLUTION NO. R- O1- 10- 25 -9E4
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has a need for playground
equipment in Meadow Lake Park, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 252.021(a) of the Local
Government Code, bids were not required since the cost will be less
than $25,000, and
WHEREAS, Total Recreation Products, Inc. has submitted a
quote to provide said playground equipment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the quote of Total
Recreation Products, Inc., Now Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the quote of Total Recreation Products, Inc. is hereby
accepted and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
issue a purchase order to Total Recreation Products, Inc. for
playground equipment for Meadow Lake Park.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
nd formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

purchase order to Total Recreation Products, Inc. for the purchase
of playground equipment in Meadow Lake Park

History: The playground is being built in response to the neighborhood and City needs.
Funding was established in the 1996 G.O. Bond election where Meadow Lake Park
was budgeted $100,000. This purchase is for playground equipment, which will serve
children of all ages. PARD crew will construct the playground equipment.
Funding:
Cost: $20,188.79
Source of funds: 1996 G.O. Bond
Outside Resources: Total Recreation Products, Inc.
Impact: The playground will provide an exciting play area that currently does not exist.
Benefit: Citizens who live near Meadow Lake Park will take advantage of the park
improvements.
Public Comment: PARD has been working with the neighborhood and together has developed
design goals for the park. The design goals are prioritized as follows:
1. Nature enhancement
2. Walking Trail
3. People friendly amenities
4. Playscape
5. Landscaping and shade
6. Fishing Pier
7. Parking
