RE: City Wide Trail System — Additional Services Authorization (ASA)
Dear James,
As presented in the initial proposal, the construction phase services were based on
an estimate of the personnel time required to perform the Scope of Services. However,
based on the extent of effort, which was not initially anticipated, we are seeking
additional compensation. We propose to complete the construction phase services on an
hourly basis, with the understanding that the new budget amount should not be
considered a maximum, due to the uncertainty of the construction phase. Below I have
estimated the amount of time required to complete the construction phase of the project,
which has been based on Camp Excavation's last construction schedule. Their schedule
shows approximately 4 -1/2 months until the project will be complete.
Scheduled Meetings 18 hr
3 hr per Meeting
9 Meetings Remaining
Project Closeout 40 hr
Punch list/Re- Inspections/
Closeout Documents/As - Builts
Construction Support (Assumes 10hr /month)
Time based on project to date
Unforeseen issues
45 hr
Total Hours 103 hr
Currently, due to the increased effort for the construction phase services, we have
already exceeded the contract amount by approximately $3685.40. Based on a Billing
Rate of $65/hr, the budget amount would increase approximately $6695. Therefore, we

are respectfully requesting an additional services agreement to cover the current overages
and the time it will take to finish the project. These additional services would be
provided on an hourly basis with a budget amount of $11,000. This budget amount is
exclusive of the original $7,500 contract amount.
