Through the inspection process, it has been determined that some sections of the trail are not built to ADA standards and must be rebuilt. Baker - Aicklen & Associates' contract did not anticipate a construction contract extension and PARD is in need their professional services through completion of the reconstruction. However, based on the extent of effort, which was not initially anticipated, we have exceeded the estimated budget. In the previous additional services authorization we had proposed to complete the construction phase services on a hourly basis. We would like for you to consider accepting this proposal of hourly compensation for the remainder of the project. Below I have estimated the amount of time required to complete the construction phase of the project. Therefore, we are respectfully requesting an additional services agreement to cover the current overages and the time it will take to finish the project. These additional services are proposed to be provided on an hourly basis with a budget amount of $7,221., (not to be considered a maximum).
