RESOLUTION NO. R- 02- 09- 12 -13A1
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for
the purchase and installation of three hydraulic generators for Fire
Engines 1, 4 and 5, and
WHEREAS, Advanced Modular Power Systems has submitted the lowest
responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Advanced
Modular Power Systems, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the bid of Advanced Modular Power Systems is hereby accepted
as the lowest responsible bid and the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to issue a purchase order to Advanced Modular Power
Systems for the purchase and installation of three hydraulic generators
for Fire Engines 1, 4 and 5.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: * 13.A.1. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a
purchase order to Advanced Modular Power Systems for the purchase
and installation of three hydraulic generators for Fire Engines 1, 4
and 5.

History: Staff recommends the issuance of a purchase order for the purchase of three
hydraulic generators for Fire Engines, 1, 4 and 5. The current generators do not
have sufficient power to operate the command lights, floodlights, rescue tools, etc.
simultaneously. Three bids were received and opened on Tuesday, August 20, 2002
for the hydraulic generators. Advance Modular Power System, Inc. submitted the
low bid and met specifications. Staff recommends the acceptance of the bid from
Advance Modular Power System, Inc.
