Mayor and City Council
City of Round Rock
221 E. Main St.
Round Rock, TX, 78664
As you may already know, the City of Bumet is in the process of applying to the
Veterans' Land Board for a grant to build a Texas State Veterans' Home in the City of
Burnet. Only two of these homes are scheduled for award statewide in this granting
cycle.
A facility of this type will benefit not only the City of Burnet but also surrounding
cities and communities within the entire Central Texas area. We are willing and prepared
to invest the time and resources required for this undertaking but we need your help. We
are asking for your moral support of our efforts through the adoption of a resolution that
will become a part of our proposal to the Veterans' Land Board. This would demonstrate
the degree of our enthusiasm for the project as well as the level of support from affected
communities. The resolution simply states that you support us in our efforts. We have
enclosed a copy of a sample resolution. It is our hope that you will agree to adopt a
resolution for inclusion in our proposal.
If you have any questions, please contact me or Burnet City Manager, Johnny
Sartain. In the event you choose to support our efforts, please send the completed
resolution to us at the address on the letterhead above.
Sincerely:
s //
