These revisions include connections of existing City wastewater lines to the new interceptor at several locations and are intended to allow for abandonment of several existing deteriorated or high- maintenance City wastewater lines and manholes. Following is a summary of proposed costs for these revisions , i■ In order to allow for these connections, LCRA has authorized modification of appropriate manhole bases and upsizing of the Phase C Line from Manhole 7 to Manhole 8. Implementation of these modifications will allow for the connections to be installed either as a part of this project or as a part of a separate City of Round Rock project to be performed at a later date. There are cost advantages to performing the work at this time considering that the Contractor is currently mobilized on site, and performing the work at this time will eliminate some duplication of efforts. We believe that these costs are fair and reasonable, and believe that inclusion of the work at this time would be in the best interest of the City of Round rock. We request that you review this information and advise if the remainder of the connection work may be authorized as a part of the current project. I have enclosed two copies of this letter. ITEM: 9.I.1. Consider a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute a letter of agreement authorizing the Lower Colorado River Authority to execute a Changer Order for the Southwest Round Rock Wastewater Line Improvements Project, Phases B and C. History: The LCRA is installing the Southwest Round Rock Wastewater Line which parallels an existing high maintenance wastewater line. Authorizing L.C.R.A. to make these connections will allow the City to abandon approximately 7,040 linear feet of old deteriorating and high - maintenance wastewater lines and manholes. The City currently has approximately $450,000.00 budgeted over the next few years for inspection and rehabilitation of these wastewater lines and manholes that can be abandoned under this agreement, saving the City approximately $341,000.00. Reduces future maintenance, inspection, rehabilitation and treatment costs. N/A N/A 1. $13,312.50 Line B (Sta. 1 +00, 30' Lt.
