RESOLUTION NO.-141R
RESOLUTION STATING THAT THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, IS IN SUPPORT OF HOUSE BILL
t NO. 770 AS INTRODUCED IN THE LEG-
ISLATURE
WHEREAS, -Eliee "has been introduced into the legislature
House Bill No. 770 known as "The Ready Mixed Concrete Vehicle Weight
improvement Bill "; and
WHEREAS, said text of House Bill No. 770 in part is
the following:
"Vehicles used exclusively tc transport ready -mixad
concrete, may be operated upon the punier,^ highways of this stale with
a tandem axle load not to exceed 44,000 pounds, a single Pule 13ad
nct to exceed 20,000 pounds and a gross load not co exceed 64,000
pounds, provided that where the vehicle is to be operated with a
tandem axle load in excess of 34,000 pounds, the owner of such vch-
ic'.e shall first file with the State Department of Highways an Public
Transportation a surety bond in the principal sum as fixed by the
department, which sum shall not be set at a greater amount than
$15,000 for each vehicle "; and
WHEREAS, this legislation, is supported by the Texas
Aggregates and Concrete Association;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, that the City Council go on record as supporting
House Bill No. 770 as introduced in the Legislature.
