WHEREAS, the City Council feels that there is a need for a Master Water and Wastewater Plan for the City, and WHEREAS, Haynie & Kallman, Inc. have submitted a proposal for the preparation of such a Plan, a copy of said proposal being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to approve said proposal, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT The mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City, a Water and Wastewater Plan, a copy of said proposal being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. We have established the scope of items to be included in the Plan by meetings with you and your staff. The Plan will incorporate a planning period of approxi- mately 15 years. The Plan will include a geographical area based on anticipated population distribution, as prepared by City Staff. The scope of work is listed as follows: WATER PLAN 1. Analyze existing major facilities including water supply, ground storage, booster pump stations, elevated storage and distribution system (8" lines and larger). 2. Sizing, recommendations and priorities for additional major facilities to update the City of Round Rock Urban Services Plan. 3. Computer analysis of arterial water lines (8" and larger) 'to assist in sizing and locating proposed lines. 4. An integral part of the Plan will be to include the surface water supply of 6 MGD (average) from the North Fork Reservoir. 5. Preliminary Cost Estimates for the first five years of the planning period. 6. Recommendations on oversize policies for arterial water lines (larger than 8 "). Sizing, recommendations and priorities for additional major facilities to update the City of Round Rock "Urban Services Plan." 3. Consideration of the E.P.A. funded Wastewater Treatment Plant in the overall planning for this study. 4. Preliminary Cost Estimates for the first five years of the planning period. 5. Recommendations on oversize policies for,wastewater lines (larger, ; than 8 "), sewage,lift stations and,sewage force mains. • The Master Plan will be bound and will include pertinent text and exhibits. We will provide one set of mylar sepias of the "exhibits" to the City after completion of the Plan. We will provide 20 copies of the Master Plan to the City, after your office has commented on a "draft" copy of the Plan. We will provide the above listed services for $7,500. We will complete these services within 90 days after the date of your authorization below, exclusive of City review time. Please sign this letter and the attached copy and return one copy to our office. Please retain one copy for your files.
