R-79-222 - 6/28/1979RESOLUTION NO. 11? WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, has authorized the City to operate a Youth Conservation Corps Project in accordance with The Youth Conservation Corps Act, and WHEREAS, the City has entered into a contract with the Texas Department of Community Affairs concerning the Youth Conservation Corps, and WHEREAS, the City wishes to make certain amendments to the contract, as specified in Exhibit "A" hereto attached, pursuant to Section XV, Sub - section C of the Contract, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Council, contract amendments as specified in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. RESOLVED this 28th day of June, 1979. ATTEST: LARRY L. TONN, Mayor City of Round Rock, Texas EXHIBIT "A" AMENDMENTS TO THE 1979 YCC CONTRACT: I. Lake Creek Park - a ten acre park where the following work is to be accomplished: A. To clear 6,000 square feet of noxious vegetation along the park road and Lake Creek so that City crews can maintain the area in a suitable park type condition. B. To clear approximately 7,500 square feet of noxious vegetation in an area south of the park road and north of Lake Creek. C. To clear approximately 25,000 square feet of noxious vegetation in an area immediately east of the City pool, south the M0 -PAC rail- road and north of the park road. D. To set up a picnic area in the land described in the three previous statements, to include seven picnic tables. E. To clear noxious vegetation along the north bank of Lake Creek from the park road west for a distance of 800 feet. II: Kiwanis Park - a six acre park containing two lighted Little League ball fields and two practice fields where the following work is to be per- formed: A. Remove "suckers" from existing trees in an area approximately 10,000 square feet between Main Street and the parking lot. ' III. Chisholm Valley Park - a three acre park where the following work is to be performed: A. To clear noxious vegetation along a treed border of the park along Trey Street fora distance of approximately .500,linear feet. B. To erect three pi_c`nic,tables,in the cleared area described above. IV. St. Williams Pocket Park - a one acre pocket park where the following work is to be performed: A. To pick up existing rocks throughout the park and re- locate them in the natural drainage way within the park. B. To remove "suckers" from trees within the park.
