RESOLUTION NO. ,I4p12 WHEREAS, the Round Rock Community School Advisory Coun- cil adopted and presented to the City Council a resolution requesting certain changes in the interest of traffic safety, and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to express its support for the requested changes, which include (1) the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of U. S. Highway 79 and Georgetown Street, (2) the zoning of U. S. Highway 79 in the area of Georgetown Street to a maximum speed of 45 M.P.H., (3) the installation of flashing school zone signs on F.M. 620 near the High School, and (4) active enforcement of speed limits on I. H. 35 within the city limits, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City Council approves the action outlined above and that the City Manager is directed to provide copies of this resolution to the Round Rock Community School Advisory Council and to the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
