To Lone Star Gas Company To Suspend Operation Of A Schedule of Rates And Tariffs Pending A Study By The City Council Concerning Said Schedule As Prepared By Lone Star Gas Company Whereas, Lone Star Gas Company has previously filed a statement of intent to change rates for gas sold to residential and commercial customers within the City limits of Round Rock, such statement being filed on or about March 6, 1984, and Whereas, the City has been given written notice by Lone Star Gas Company that such changed rates are to be placed into effect on and after April 11, 1984, and Whereas, the City Council is of the opinion that there is a necessity to consider a large amount of data in connection with the request and for public hearings thereon prior- to final determination of the rate request and consequently, the operation and effective date of the proposed rate schedule should be suspended for final determination of the rate request, and Whereas, Art. 1446e, Sec. 5.08(d) provides for the suspension of the operation of such schedule of rates and tariffs for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days beyond the date on which the schedule of rates would otherwise go into effect, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, } s TEXAS • That the effective date of the proposed revision of rates and schedules of Lone Star Gas Company for gas service within the City, heretofore filed on March 6, 1984, is hereby suspended for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days beyond the date on which the schedule of rates would otherwise go into effect; said suspension is to provide necessary additional time for consideration of data, for the conduct of ATTEST: Resolved this J�� NNE LAND, City Secretary C y of Round Rock, Texas public hearings and for final determination of the propriety of the request for a rate increase, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the rates of Lone Star Gas Company for gas service within the City in effect on March 6, 1984 shall continue in force during the period of suspension provided above, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the City Secretary is hereby directed to promptly furnish a copy of this Resolution to Lone Star Gas Company. day of Mar _-. 1984. -2- RY - V ON , Mayor City of Round Rock, Texas -
