R-84-636 - 8/23/1984RESOLUTION N0. 636 WHEREAS, Emile Jamail Properties, Inc. and The Nash Phillips -Copus Company (Jamail /NPC) have applied for a permit to discharge an average of 1.2 million gallons per day of treated domestic sewage effluent to Davis Spring Branch, and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock and others have filed protests against and are actively opposing the granting of the permit, and WHEREAS, the Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (BCWCID) and other governmental entities have commissioned an engineering evaluation of a regional wastewater treatment solution for the entire Brushy Creek drainage basin, and WHEREAS, a settlement agreement with Jamail /NPC has been proposed whereby Jamail /NPC will either participate in a regional plant, a City of Round Rock treatment plant or construct a treatment plant generally in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the Edwards Aquifer in Bexar County, and WHEREAS, the Council deems it in the best interests of the citizens of Round Rock to enter into said settlement agreement with Jamial /NPC, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City, a settlement agreement with Jamail /NPC.
