S. 79 in Round Rock, South to F. M. 1325. The attached resolution form may be used for acceptance of the minute order provisions. The minute order will become operative upon acceptance indicated by resolution. It will be automatically cancelled if not accepted within 90 days of the minute order date. WHEREAS, in WILLIAMSON COUNTY on INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 from U. S. Highway 79, South to Farm to Market Road 1325, a distance of approximately 2.7 miles, appropriate local officials have requested construction of frontage roads and have offered to par- ticipate in the construction; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation desires to assist in this request; NOW, THEREFORE, the Engineer - Director is directed to tender the following proposal to the City of Round Rock: Provided the City will: 1. Furnish all funds required for construction of roadway. 2. Agree to support one -way operation of frontage roads upon completion of construction. The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation will: 1. Provide for construction of the project including ramps and bridges at an estimated cost of 53,620,900. 2. Maintain the project upon 'completion of construction. Upon acceptance of the provisions of this order by the appropriate officials of the City of Round Rock, the Engineer- Director is directed to enter into any necessary agreements for development of the project and to proceed with development of plans for construction and with construction, in the most feasible and economical manner. This Order shall become operative upon acceptance by the City of Round Rock -and if not accepted within 90 days of the date hereof, the action herein contained shall be automatically cancelled. Mike Robinson Mayor, City of Round Rock 214 East Main Street Round Rock, Texas 78664 Dear Mayor Robinson: Transmitted herewith is the approved Federal -Aid Urban System and Urban Area Boundary Map for Round Rock developed in cooperation with your office. You will notice that the Urban Systems are "shown with the necessary rural Federal -Aid Systems to properly integrate each route by connecting it to another Federal -Aid route. The Federal -Aid Urban System becomes the Federal -Aid Secondary System at the Urban Area Boundary (1980 City Limits as a minimum). Approval of the attached map through this Department and the Federal Highway Administration makes the urban system eligible for federal funds as they become available. No new funds are expected until the present program which goes through 1986 is reviewed by the Federal funding source. Your cooperation in developing this Urban System and Urban Area Boundary Map is appreciated and trust you will contact this office if we can provide additional assistance. Sincerely yours, R. G00DE IN REPLY REFER TO C= 1 RESOLUTION NO. 7/4 WHEREAS,' the State` 'Department of "Highways and Public Transportation; issued its Minute Order number 83027 concerning the proposal to construct frontage roads on Interstate Highway 35 from U.S. Highway 79, South to Farm to Market Road 1325, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the terms and conditions of said Minute Order, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That in exchange for the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation's construction of the project including ramps and bridges and maintenance of the project upon completion, the City will furnish all funds required for construction of roadway and agrees to support one -way operation of frontage roads upon completion of construction.
