R-86-837 - 3/27/1986r . � RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, the City Council has become aware that it may be technically feasible to create a new commercial FM radio channel within the Central Texas area; and WHEREAS, Round Rock, Texas is an incorporated municipality of over 28,000 people with a projected population of 46,500 by 1990 which currently has no commercial AM or FM radio facilities licensed within the city limits; and WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the establishment of a commercial FM radio station licensed within the City of Round Rock will benefit its citizens and provide a vital communications link during times of local emergency and natural disaster, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the Round Rock City Council endorses and hereby h p requests that the Federal Communications Commission give every consideration to allocating a new commercial radio channel to th City ,of Round Rock, Texas.
