R-86-979 - 6/12/1986ATTEST: t br/I /L' 1v/1 J$`NNE LAND, City Secretary RESOLUTION NO. 6 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has entered into an agreement with Round Rock Partners to construct a new City Hall Complex, and WHEREAS, in order to accomplish that goal the alley within Block 10, Original Plat of Round Rock needs to be incorporated into a functional segment of the overall project, and WHEREAS, Round Rock Partners has requested that the Mayor sign a License Agreement for a period of 99 years in order to achieve the said goal, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Round Rock a License Agreement with Round Rock Partners, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A ". Stendeback of the City of Round Rock Planning Department regarding the progress of the City Hall Municipal Complex in downtown Round Rock, Albion Property Corporation, on behalf of Round Rock Partners, does hereby submit the following request to the Round Rock City Council: In order to facilitate the construction of the City Hall Municipal Complex, we request that a license agreement be structured between the City of Round Rock and Round Rock Partners for a period of ninety -nine (99) years in order to incorporate the alley within Block 10, Original Plat of Round Rock (bounded by Main Street, Sheppard Street, Bagdad Street and Lampasas Street) into a functional segment of the overall project. The area requested to be licensed includes the entire alley -way beginning at Lot 13 (southeast corner of the Nelson Hardware Building) and extending to the east to Sheppard Street and the southern half of the alley abutting Lots 9 and 10 and a portion of Lot 8 (behind the Nelson Hardware Building). The majority of the area under the proposed license will be developed into a pedestrian plaza, a small portion will be used in the construction of Building B (as described in plans submitted to the City) and another small portion will contain maintenance equipment and an electrical transformer. Stendeback DATE: June 10, 1986 SUBJECT: Council Agenda, June 12, 1986 ITEM: 11I - Consider a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a License Agreement with Round Rock Partners concerning the City Hall Complex Project. The proposed City Hall Complex will require a portion of the alley between Main St. & Bagdad to be closed to thru traffic so that a development may be constructed on a portion of the alley. This can be most easily accomplished through a license agreement with Round Rock Partners. A copy of the developers request is attached for your information.
