Nuse Re: Proposal for Professional Services Palm Valley Park Improvements Surveying and Contour Mapping Dear Sharon and Jim: As requested, we are pleased to submit our proposal for professional services on the above - referenced project. In accordance with your request for proposal, dated August 18, 1987, our proposal covers providing and installing three (3) vertical and two (2) horizontal control monuments, providing a one (1) foot interval aerial contour map at a scale of 1" =100', providing an aerial mosaic at a scale of 1" =100' and providing all necessary surveying services required to complete the above described work. The following is a more detailed list of Scope of Services including Basis of Compensation. SCOPE OF SERVICES 1. Collect and review pertinent data. 2. Meet with City officials to discuss objectives, special criteria, requirements and particular concerns prior to beginning work on the project. 3. Meet with City officials on a weekly, monthly or as- needed basis to present status reports and discuss the project. 4. Perform control surveys for aerial mapping and monumenta- tion as required to meet the needs of the project. Vertical control data shall be based upon City of Round Rock monumentation. Horizontal control data shall be based upon the Texas State Plane Coordinate System, if required. 5. Set horizontal and vertical points for aerial topographic work. 6. Arrange for aerial photography services. 7. Set three (3) vertical and two (2) horizontal control monuments at points to be determined. 8. Provide a 1' contour map at a scale of 1" =100'. The map shall be a reproducible pencil manuscript. 9. Provide an aerial mosaic photo of the park site at a scale of 1" =100' of quality suitable for tree canopy locations. 10. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for survey engineering services for Palm Valley Park. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Jim Nuse and myself that Baker- Aicklen & Associates be contracted to provide survey services needed for Palm Valley Park. ECONOMIC IMPACT: City dollars will be saved by the establishment of a monumentation program. This program will be the foundation of all future survey work.
