All shoring materials shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements for trench shoring as specified by the Occupational Safety and Hpalth Administration (OSHA). DATE: September 22, 1987 SUBJECT: Council Agenda, September 24, 1987 ITEM: 13E - Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for trench safety items. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse STAFF RECOMMENDATION: ECONOMIC IMPACT: The Public Works Department advertized for trench safety materials. These materails included an 8' X 12' sheleton box with expandable spreaders; one 4 way sling; 4 each 4 way manifold; 1 each bucket pump, and 1 each 48" release tool. These materials meet OSHA standards. The Plank Company was the only bidder. Staff recommend award to the Plank Company for $6,735.
