I. SCOPE
The Landscape Architect will provide design and association services required for the
installation of automatic irrigation systems for the following City parks:
+ Rabb House + Oreenlawn Place Perk
+ McNeil Ballfield No. 2 + Windy Terrace Park
+ Kensington Place Park
II. DFSIONATFD SFRVICES
A. Construction Documentation: The Landscape Architect will provide the following services:
1. Conduct on -site inventories to reocrd existing conditions relative to soils, water,
electrical services and slope conditions.
2. Prepare construction ready plans necessary to install automatic landscape irrigation
systems for the designated City parks.
3. Prepare project specifications in bid proposal form to be issued to prospective irrigation
contractors.
B Construction Administration_ The Landscape Architect shall provide the following
administration services:
1. Attend the pre -bid meeting with prospective contractors, review Construction Documents,
respond to questions, issue addenda as required.
2. Attend construction progress meetings to determine if work Is proceeding in accordance
with Construction Documents.
3. Prepare and distribute change orders of work to be added, deleted or modified.
4. Review applications for payment.
5. Conduct a substantial completion inspection, and prepare a punch list to be completed or
corrected prior to final acceptance.

111. SUPPLFMFNTAI SFRVICFS
Include those services not included under Designated Services as described above. Supplemental
Services will be performed only if requested by the Owner. The following is a partial listing of
supplemental services:
A. Revisions to drawings, details and specifications previously approved, due to changes in
project scope, budget or schedule.
B. Public or other presentations beyond those outlined above.
C. Provide design services and construciton details required to install water pressure booster
pumps should the existing City water source be undersized or be below the minimum water
pressure necessary to operate irrigation equipment.
IV WORK PROEM ICTS & SCHFDUI F
A. Project Meeting: shall bees follows:
1. Coordination and orientation meeting with City staff to establish priorities, time schedules
and identify special conditions.
2. Review Construction Documents to confirm limits of work and bid proposal forms.
3. Coordinate pre -bid meeting, if requested.
4. Coordinate pre - construction meeting.
5. Conduct five (5) substantial completion inspections.
6. Conduct five (5) final site inspections.
B. Upon authorization from the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Landscape Architect shall:
1. Provide on (1) 30 scale plan for each park indicating head layout, piping layout
distribution of water coverage, materials, details and general construction notes.
V COMPENSATION
A Basic Onmpansntion: The Owner agrees to pay the Landscape Architect the following fees for
the performance of services described herein:
1. Construction Documents, Lump Sum $1,685.00
2. Construction Administration, Lump Sum
Hourly estimated, not to exceed $ 300.00

B Hourly Rates: The following rates shall apply to all Construction Administration and
Supplement& Services:
1. Project Landscape Architect
2. Landscape Architect
3. Technical /Clerical

C. Terms of Payment. Billings shall be submitted monthly and shall be due net 30 days.
D fejmhursable Expenses: Such as film and processing, blueprinting, xerox copies, long
distance calls, deliveries, mileage (.25t /mile) and other items directly relating to the
project will be billed as a direct expense.
A. The Owner shall provide full information as to the requirements for this project, including
site survey of structures and utilities and existing park landscape /irrigation plans. .
8. In the event that any modifications or decisions are made by the Owner or other project
consultants to proposed work which is pertinent to the Landscape Architect, the Landscape
Architect shall be notified as soon as possible to avoid delay of project.
VI I I.TFRMINATION OF AORFEMENT
A. This Agreement may be terminated upon written notification from the Owner. It else may be
terminated by either party upon seven (7) days written notice, should the other party fail
substantially to perform in accordance with its terms through no fault of the other.
B. In the event of termination due to the fault of others than the Landscape Architect, the
Landscape Architect shell be paid for services performed to termination date, including
reimbursements then due, and all reasonable expenses associated with terminating the
project.

WHEREAS, the firm of Belanger & Smith Associates, Inc. has
submitted a proposal to provide the necessary landscape architectural
services, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
THAT
The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf
of the City a proposal for professional services, a copy of said
proposal being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all
purposes.
