ATTEST: RESOLVED this -/ day of nne Land, Ci y Secretary RESOLUTION NO. % Oc:7 4 MIKE ROBINSON, Mayor City of Round Rock, Texas e ESPEY, HUSTON & ASSOCIATES, INC. Engineering & Environmental Consultants April 1, 1987 Mr. Danny Halden City of Round Rock Public Works Department 214 E. Main Street Round Rock, Texas 78664 Dear Danny: Per our telephone conversation last week regarding the Public Work Department's proposed wastewater renovation project in South Park and Southern Terrace Subdivisions, Espey, Huston & Associates, Inc., Round Rock Office is pleased to present the following refined estimates for providing the surveying services required for this project. Our estimates are as follows: Phase I Part 1 - $2,450.00 Part 2 - $ 870.00 Phase II Part 1 - $1,990.00 Part 2 - $ 700.00 TOTAL $6,010.00 110 South Brown • P.O. Box 1269 • Round Rock, Texas 78680 • (512) 244 -3885 EH&A Proposal No. 87-0276 As we discussed in our telephone conversation, the provision of easement documents for any easements required is something we cannot, at this point, quantify. Our initial estimates for this are based on providing approximately seven "strip" easements along the route of the existing wastewater lines. This estimate stems from our analysis of the recorded plats and the assumption that, with the manholes remaining in place, the reconstructed alignment would be very similar to existing conditions and therefore, stay within dedicated easements. If, in fact, we would be required to provide a separate easement for each lot along the new alignment, our fee for providing new metes and bounds descriptions, would be $50.00 per lot without an accompanying sketch and $75.00 per lot with a sketch to accompany the written description. Mr. Danny Halden April 1, 1987 Page 2 ESPEY, HUSTON & ASSOCIATES, INC. Please review this estimate, and if the terms and conditions of this arrangement are acceptable to you, please so indicate by signing in the space provided below. This countersigned letter will serve as our agreement. Once again, we very much appreciate your asking us to propose on this project, and we are looking forward to working with you. Manager, Surveying Jim Nuse Director of Public Works City of Round Rock DATE: April 7, 1987 SUBJECT: Council Agenda, April 9, 1987 ITEM: 15E - Consider a resolutin authorizing the Mayor to enter into a survey agreement with Espey Huston and Associates for the South Park Sewer Line. In order to provide the base information for the South Park Sewer Line Project, certain surveying is required. Public Works contacted 3 engineering /surveying firms for proposals. Espey Huston was the selected proposal based on qualifications and cost. Staff recommends contracting with Espey Huston for all Phase I surveying with the option of Phase II if project funds allow.
