RESOLUTION NO. /VIM
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock needs to purchase certain
vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the City of Austin has advertised for bids for
vehicles similar to those needed by the City of Round Rock, and
WHEREAS, it would be to the benefit of the City of Round
Rock to participate in the purchasing program of the City of
Austin, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any and
all documents necessary to participate the purchasing
program with the City of Austin for certain vehicles described
in the documents attached hereto.

POLICE PATROL CAR PURCHASE
The City of Round Rock desires to participate with the City of
Austin in purchasing police patrol cars.
By participating with the City of Austin we receive the economic
benefit associated with the purchase of over 100 police patrol
cars.
We also receive the benefit of using City of Austin
specifications. These specifications were reviewed by the City
of Round Rock Police Department and were found to meet department
needs while providing an economical product.
This purchase participation is for the second year of a two -year
supply agreement between the City of Austin and Leif Johnson
Ford.
The City staff recommends purchasing four (4) police patrol cars
from Leif Johnson Ford as summarized below:
Ford Crown Victoria S Police Paskage as specified
by City of Austin specification #300 (PS -1) $12,535.00 /unit
Net adjustments to adapt cars to City of Round
Rock fleet ( 89.00) /unit
Net purchase price $12,446.00 /unit
Total purchase price for four (4) cars $49,784.00
Delivery 90 -120 days from order.
