WHEREAS, Harriet Rutland has offered to convey to the City of
Round Rock the property more further described in Exhibit "A ",
attached hereto,
AND WHEREAS, the land will be utilized to provide additional
parkland for the City,
AND WHEREAS, the purchase price of $10,000.00, is deemed a fair
market value for said property,
AND WHEREAS, the Council wishes to authorize the purchase of
said property, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
That the purchase of the property described in Exhibit "A" from
Harriet Rutland for a total price of $10,000.00 is hereby authorized
and that the disbursement of the funds shall be made upon delivery of

STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: SHARON PRETE
STAFF RECOM MENDATION: Staff would like to finalize the purchase of 100 yr. flood plain
property located on the north side of Brushy Creek between
Chisholm Trail and the old railroad trestles. This acquisition
process was begun when the City initiated condemnation of
property around "the rock ". This is in keeping with the City's
Park Master Plan to provide public assess to our creeks.
ECONOMIC IMPACT:
The City has an opportunity to work with the private sector
to make this portion of the historic district a viable center for
commerce and tourism.
