R-88-1196 - 11/27/1988WHEREAS, the Commissioner's Court of Williamson County is considering the sale of its sanitary landfill, and WHEREAS, the City Council feels that the citizens of the County would be better served if the landfill remained in the ownership of one or more governmental entities, rather than a private party, and WHEREAS, the City would like to explore the possibilities of purchasing the landfill, either alone or in cooperation with other municipalities, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That the City Manager is hereby authorized to contact and negotiate with the Commmissioner's Court and other municipalities regarding the purchase of the sanitary landfill.
