SUBJECT: Council Agenda, June 22, 1989
ITEM: 12G. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an
agreement with TU Electric to install street lighting in Old
Settlers Park at Palm Valley.
RESOURCE PERSON: SHARON PRETE
STAFF RECOMMIDATICN:
HCONOMIC IMPACT:
Staff recommends that the City enter into an agreement with
TU Electric to provide street lighting for Old Settlers Park
at Palm Valley, using steel poles.
The major expense in this $98,000 project is the civil work
(conduit, trenching and foundations). Underground service
is not an option, but a requirement of this and future
grants.
Steel poles are proposed in keeping with Council's decision
to use steel poles for ballfield lighting.
