R-91-1582 - 3/14/1991RESOLUTION NO. / 5U WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock is aware of the importance of our heritage and the historic structures which represent that heritage; and WHEREAS, Texans for the Preservation of Historic Properties are actively pursuing funding for the purchase and restoration of the Captain Merrell House; and WHEREAS, the Captain Merrell house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is one of the oldest existing structures in Round Rock; Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS That the City Council expresses its support of the Texans for the Preservation of Historic Properties in their effort to purchase and restore one of Round Rock's most treasured buildings, the Captain Merrell House.
