Attached is a Bid Tabulation sheet. According to the requirements set forth in the bid package the following factors were used in evaluating these proposals: Price, Vendor Experience, Maintenance, and Technical Support. Jenco Computer Systems failed to adequately detail the companies Mayor vendor experience and corporate responsibility. In addition this company's Alike Robb— submission included a service stipulation for repairs based on a 100 mile service Mayor Pro-tem radius or a case b case basis. This has been interpreted that the City is Charles Culpepper y rp y Council Members responsible for delivery should a repair be necessary on the computers.Deliveries Robert.Stluka Tisli Oatman would have to be made to San Antonio. Finally the proposal package contained Rick Stewart Earl Palmer vague information concerning the technical aspects of their equipment. Jimmy Joseph City Manager Robert L.Bennett,Jr. City Attorney Stephan L.Sheets Austin Computer System is a company with a proven and established track record in supplying PC System. They meet and exceeded all of the general requirements in the proposal package. Additionally the purchase of these computers will allow more compatibility with the already existing computers at Public Works. Based on the matters discussed above and the attached Bid Tabulation, I recommend that the City Council award the purchase to Austin Computer System for$4,064.00. Additionally, I recommend that the ancillary equipment listed should not be purchased at this time but rather through separate Purchase Orders.
