WHEREAS, the City and Chamber wish to amend said Agreement to

WHEREAS, the City and the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce
change the date the Chamber's proposed budget is due and to add a
provision giving the Chamber the responsibility of reviewing
applications for funding and making recommendations to the City
Council, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City the First Amendment To The Publicity And Tourism
Agreement, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto and
incorporated herein for all purposes.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
PUBLICITY AND TOURISM AGREEMENT
This First Amendment To The Publicity And Tourism Agreement
( "First Amendment ") is entered into effective as of July 21, 1992, by
and between the City of Round Rock, Texas, a home rule municipal
corporation ( "City ") and the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce
( "Chamber ").
Recitals
Whereas, City and Chamber on February 14, 1991 entered into that
one certain Publicity And Tourism Agreement ( "Agreement "), and
Whereas, City and Chamber wish to amend said Agreement to change
the date the Chamber's proposed budget is due and to add a provision
giving the Chamber the responsibility of reviewing applications for
funding and making recommendations to the City Council, Now Therefore
City and Chamber do hereby modify and amend the Agreement as
follows:
I .
The second sentence of the first paragraph of section V. is
hereby amended to read as follows:

A new paragraph shall be added to the end of section V. which
shall read as follows:

Thereafter the Chamber shall submit a proposed
budget for each succeeding fiscal year on or
before August 1, of each year.
The Chamber further agrees to solicit and review
applications for funding for special events held
for the purpose of attracting visitors, tourists
and conventions to the City. The Chamber will
review said applications to assure that the

expenditures are made in accordance with State
law related to the hotel occupancy tax. After
reviewing the applications, the Chamber will make
recommendations to the City Council. The City
Council will make the final decision regarding
all applications for funding from the hotel
occupancy tax.
To the extent necessary to effect the terms and provisions of
this First Amendment, the Agreement is hereby amended. In all other
respects, the Agreement is hereby ratified and confirmed.
