Consider a resolution concerning Municipal Water Pollution Prevention. The Municipal Water Pollution Prevention (MWPP) audit program is administered by U.S.EPA to promote pollution prevention by Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). The MWPP program includes: preventing wastewater permit violations; maximizing the useful lives of POTW through effective operation and maintenance, financial management, reduced wastewater flows and reduced loadings; and ensuring timely planning and financing for future needs and growth prior to the occurrence of wastewater permit violations. The City shall submit an yearly audit and resolution addressing the goals and objectives of the MWPP. There is no fee for submitting this MWPP. The submittal may help identify and reduce future operational costs. THE RESOLUTION WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE MEETING.
