(HOT) hereby offers to perform the following work on the McNeil Road Water Tank project at the price, terms and conditions listed: HOT proposes to provide tank inspection and integrity assessment services to the City Of Round Rock, Texas on the McNeil Road storage tank. The objective of this project is to provide an accurate condition survey of the tank and document in a technical report in order to assist the Public Works Department in the rehabilitation process. The services to be rendered will include the following: - Conduct a visual inspection of the shell, roof, floor, accesses, appurtenances and weldments in accordance with the AWWA D100 visual criteria. All areas of the tank will be accessed as required for visually evaluating the status of welds, coating, and base material. - Perform ultrasonic thickness measurements of the tarn shell, roof and floor for base material evaluation and thickness verification. Reading to be taken at random select- ed areas and where worse cases of corrosion are visually detected. - Magnetic Particle examine any areas of the tank showing signs of stress for the detection of cracks per the City's approval. - Perform a leak test of the complete tank bottom and shell to bottom weldments using vacuum box leak detection device. -Take still photographs of the exterior and interior areas of the tank and any exces- sively damaged portion of tank for documentation in report. - Produce a detailed as built drawing or sketch with dimensions of any areas of the tarn requiring repairs or containing questionable defects; provided, the still photographs are not sufficient for showing in detail the existing condition of the tank. Recommendations for repairs will be provided in the report. A total of seven (7) inspection reports will be supplied to the City Of Round Rock. WORK EXCLUDED; The water and sediment after tank draw down shall be removed by the City Of Round Rock unless the request is made otherwise. Any evaluations or recommendations pertaining to the lead or chromium contained in the coating will not be provided in this report. Inspection visits during the reconstruction work of the tank is not included in this proposal. PRICE: An estimated budget cost for the above mentioned services is $5,800.00 `All work will be conducted and billed at an hourly rate as shown below. The budget cost for conducting the tank inspection and report will not exceed the cost above without the written approval of the City. TIME OF PERFORMANCE: Work to begin upon notification that tank is ready for the appropriate inspection. Five working days notice is requested for scheduling. The inspection will be completed within 3 working days after initial tank entry. The condition survey report will be completed within 5 working days of completed inspection.
