We are submitting a contract for the publication for Legal Notices in THE ROUND ROCK LEADER for 1993 -1994. Due to the cost of printing, there will be a slight increase in our Legals. The rates will be 20p per word for the first insertion and 18fi per word for repeat insertions. Maps /drawings will be charged at $5.65 a column inch. Blair, Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called "TODD ": WHEREAS, TODD is the publisher of the Round Rock Leader, a public newspaper of general circulation in the CITY and WHEREAS, the Home Rule Charter for the CITY provides that the Council shall annually designate a public newspaper as offical organ of the CITY, and WHEREAS, the Home Rule Charter instructs the Council to contract annually with a public newspaper, and WHEREAS, the Council has by resolution designated the Round Rock Leader as the official organ of the CITY; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: I. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Round Rock Leader for publication of official City notices. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joanne Land STAFF RECOMMENDATION: As mandated by the City Charter, the Council, once a year, must designate an official publication of general circulation for all official City notices. The ROUND ROCK LEADER has been the official "newspaper" for the City for many years and has always done an excellent job. The rates will be 20 cents per word for the first insertion and 18 cents per word for repeat insertions. Maps and drawings will be charged at $5.65 a column inch. Staff recommends that the Council award the publication contract to the ROUND ROCK LEADER.
