Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an engineering contract for the 30" Raw Water Line. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse STAFF RECOMMENDATION Seven Engineering firms were asked to present their qualifications for the design of a 30" raw water line from Lake Georgetown to our water treatment facility. Seven staff members reviewed the proposals based on the enclosed criteria sheet. While all firms were considered to be capable of completing the project, the staff unanimously recommends the firm of Camp, Dresser, & McKee of Austin. Staff requests that it be allowed to pursue negotiations with CDM for an agreement. This is the process endorsed by the State Board of Professional Engineers. If we are unsuccessful in negotiating this agreement with CDM, we would like to approach HDR, the teams' second choice. A copy of our request for information and the criteria sheet are included in this packet.
