On Tuesday, September 20, 1994 four bids were opened and read for the Underground Fuel
Monitoring System for Public Works yard at Blair Street and for Fire & Police at Commerce
Street. Aus -Tex Service Station Equipment submitted the lowest and best bid of $21,245.00.
Aus -Tex has extensive experience in this field. Aus -Tex has done repair work in the past for
the City of Round Rock and we have been pleased with their performance. We have checked
references (Fuelman, Southland Corporation, City of Austin, etc.) and recommend the
Underground Fuel Monitoring System purchase order be awarded to Aus -Tex Service Station

agreement for the upgrade of the fuel tank system

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
In order to meet State environmental guidelines, an upgrade of the fuel tank
system is essential. On Tuesday September 20, bids were opened for this program.
The bids will be evaluated and a recommendation regarding the low bidder will be
made at the meeting.
