Dear Mr. Muses
Enclosed is a revised copy of the Time and Coot Estimate for
the referenced project. WSM and Saker- Aiklen can begin work
immediately and we should be able to complete the Master Plan
in thirty calendar days from the date of your approval of our
services.
I will be the primary contact for the WSM/Saker- Aicklen
project team. We will coordinate all project activities
through WSM. We will assume that you will be the primary
contact for the City and for Round Rock XSD until we are told
otherwise. We ars looking forward to working with you, Don
Howard, and your staffs.
If the services outlined in the Time and Cost Estimate, the
fees, and the time to perform the required Services are
agreeable to you please sign both copies of this letter of
agreement and send one back to us for our records.

ACTIVITY AND ESTIMATED TIME:
1. Meat with RR I$D and their architects to determine
changes required in the existing 1992 plans for the
Transportation Facility. Determine what kind of
growth is to be expected and reflected in the Master
Plan. Incorporate information into Master Plan
Program. (6 WSM hours)
2. Meet with the City to determine what offices, etc.,
will be at this site other than the Vehicle Mainten-
ance Facility and City Yard. Incorporate information
into Master Plan Program. (4 WSM hours)
3. Analyze the requirements of the 1990 Public Works
Facility Project Analysis. Meet with the City to
modify those rogram requirements to meet pre9ent
needs at the Sunrise Road site. Incorporate
information into Master Plan Program. (8 WSM hours)
4. Meet with the City and Baker - Aicklen to ascertain
Codes, Ordinances, Laws, relationship to the aquifer,
etc., that will affect this project.

5. Walk site with Baker - Aicklen and members of the City

6. With in -put from Baker - Aicklen prepare a preliminary
Master Plan (hand sketched).

7. Joint meeting with all parties to review the pprelimi-

17. CADD work on final plan is not a part of the primary
work for this study. It can be added at Round Rock's

18. There are no costa suggested for surveys. This would
probably be a line item in the estimate for work
which will be required, probably in the first hase
of the work when the seventy -five acres are sub -
divided.
ANTICIPATED END PRODUCT:
1. Comprehensive Master Plan or plans, at 1" 100',
showing all new proposed site improvements and
buildings, new proposed utilities, proposed subdi-
vision of the site, and proposed phasing of the work.
2. Written material including a brief description of the
total program, a construction cost estimate (not
including the school district's project costs), and
an outline specification upon which the estimates are
based.
We intend to present as much comprehensive information
graphically as we can and keep the written explanation to a
minimum.
COST FOR PROVIDING THE MASTER PLAN: $13,000.00

WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock desires to have professional
services for the planning of the Joint City Yard Site /Round Rock
Independent School District Transportation Center, and
WHEREAS, WSM Architects & Planning Consultants has submitted
a contract to provide said services, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into said
contract with WSM Architects & Planning Consultants, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with WSM Architects & Planning
Consultants for the planning of the Joint City Yard Site /Round Rock
Independent School District Transportation Center, a copy of said
contract being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all
purposes.

contract for the planning of the Joint City Yard Site /Round
Rock Independent School District Transportation Center.
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
At a recent Council meeting, staff recommended the firm of WSM to prepare
the master plan for the joint City /RRISD yard site. We were able to negotiate an
agreement, Enclosed is a copy of the agreement. The costs will be split 50/50 with
the School District. Staff recommends acceptance of this Agreement.
