WHEREAS, on the 14th day of December, 1989, the City of Round Rock, Texas adopted the 1990 Round Rock Annual Plan (the "General Plan ") in Ordinance No. 2439, and WHEREAS, the purpose of the General Plan was to guide the City of Round Rock's future land -use and fiscal decisions within the City, and WHEREAS, one of the recommendations in Chapter 10 of the General Plan called for citizens in certain older residential areas to prepare a neighborhood plan prior to any zoning changes, and WHEREAS, a collection of residents in the downtown area have organized a neighborhood planning team and have met for over a year to prepare a neighborhood plan ( "Neighborhood Plan ") and WHEREAS, said Neighborhood Plan includes many recommendations and suggestions from the citizens, and said citizens recognize that this Neighborhood Plan is to be used as a guide by the City Council, and that all recommendations and suggestions may not be utilized, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City Council hereby accepts the Neighborhood Plan as presented by the downtown Neighborhood Planning Team, without formally adopting each and every recommendation or suggestion contained in said Neighborhood Plan.
