R-95-02-23-10D - 2/23/1995WHEREAS, on behalf of itself and the City of Round Rock, the City of Austin has advertised for proposals for the contract operation of the regional wastewater treatment plant; and WHEREAS, OMI, Inc. has submitted the best proposal to provide the contract operation services; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to authorize the City Manager to enter into negotiations with OMI, Inc. for a contract for operation of the treatment plant, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City to enter into negotiations with OMI, Inc. for a contract to provide operation services for the regional wastewater treatment plant. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into negotiations with a contract operation firm for the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. Advertizement were made for firms interested In Operation of the Regional Wastewater Facility. Several firms responded in writing and three of those firms were requested for oral interviews. As a result, staff recommends that it be allowed to negotiate an operations agreement for Council approval. The City of Austin, our partner in this plant, will assist in the negotiations and Austin's Council will be asked to act on the final contract.
