WHEREAS, § 6.03(k) Tax Code provides for the governing body of
each taxing unit to cast votes for individuals nominated for the
Williamson County Board of Directors, and
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock is entitled to 250 votes which
may be cast for individuals nominated for the Board of Directors, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to cast its 250 votes as set
forth below, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,

ITEM: 11. D . Consider a resolution casting votes for the Williamson County Appraisal
District Board of Directors.
STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: David Kautz
The Williamson County Appraisal District (WCAD) is responsible for setting the taxable value of all
properties within the county and certifying those values to the various taxing entities in the county.
The Board of Directors appoints the Chief Appraiser, appoints the Appraisal Review Board and
sets administrative policy for the WCAD.
All five director seats are up for appointment by the taxing entities. Nominees appear on the
attached ballot. The number of votes allowed to each taxing entity are also attached. The
Council may vote for one, several or all of the nominees by distributing the City's vote allocation.
The votes must be cast by written resolution and returned to the chief appraiser no later than
November 14, 1995.
