Enclosed is the original Election Services Contract for the May 4, 1996 election. The
Round Rock Independent School District has already signed the agreement and now it
needs your signature. Please return a copy of the contract to the School District after
you have signed it.
As you know, the City of Round Rock was fortunate enough to be able to take
advantage of a new State law which states that no election has to be held if all
candidates are unopposed, there are no declared write -ins and there are no propositions
on the ballot. We are one of the first cities in the State to utilize the law. Eventhough,
we will not be participating in the May 4th election, I will be happy to continue being
the Custodian of Election Records for the election as noted under 2.e. of the Election
Services Contract. Also, whatever we can do to help the early voting election judge we
will be glad to do.
If you have any questions or need any help, just give me a call. I hope the election goes
smoothly for you.
