Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides for the cooperation of local
governments for the joint use of facilities or services; and
WHEREAS,Williamson County is currently providing Emergency
Medical Services to the citizens of Round Rock; and
WHEREAS, Williamson County Emergency Medical Services {"EMS")
currently is located at the County annex on Commerce Street; and
WHEREAS, EMS desires to locate its operations, including
emergency medical vehicles and personnel, at the City of Round
Rock's Central Fire Station located at 203 Commerce Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock and Williamson County desire
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for the use of the Central
Fire Station by Williamson County EMS; Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City said Interlocal Agreement, a copy of same being
attached hereto as Exhibit A.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
THIS INTERLOCAL AS3BEEMEZM is made and entered into effective this

the CITY OF ROUND ROCK, political subdivisions of Lhe SLaLe uL Texas.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, V.T.C.A., GuveLtunent Code, Chapter 791, the Texao
Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides that any one or more public
agencies may contract with each other for the performance of
governmental functions and for the joint use of facilities or services
for the promotion and protection of the health and welfare of the
inhabitants of this State and the mutual benefit of the portico/ and
WHEREAS, Williamson County is currently providing Emergency
Medical Services to the citircno of Round Rock/ and -
WHEREAS, williamson County Emergency Medical Services ( "EMS")
currently is located at the County annex on Commerce Street; and

Fire Station located at 203 Commerce Street, Round Rock, Texas,
NOW, THEREEORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and
agreements herein contained, the undersigned parties agree as follows:

TEAMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The City of Round Ruck, Texas, hereby agrees to permit the
Williamson County EMS to locate its operations, including
emergency medical vehicles and personnel, at the Central Fire

2. As consideration for the above, Williamson County will contribute
$50,000.00 to the City of Round Ruek for certain renovations to
the Central Fire Station to accommodate the above - described re-
location.
II.
DURATION
This Agreement shall be effective upon the signing of this
Agreement by both parties and shall continue for ten years thereafter,
unless terminated earlier by elLliei party, as set forth below.
III.
TERMINATION
Either party to this Agreement has the right to termi.natP this
AyceemenL by providing written notice to the other party one hundred
eighty days (1130) days prior to October 1 of each year. This agreement
shall terminate on September 30, following the receipt of such notir,P.
Iv.
REIMBURSEMENT UPON EARLY TERMINATION
Should this Agreement be terminated by either party prior to the
completion of this agreement, the City of Round Rock shall reimburse

contradiction of any laws of the State or the United States, the
parties will immediately rectify the offending portions of this
Agreement. The remainder of the Agreement shall be in full force
and effect.
2. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the
parties hereto, and supersedes all their oral and written
negotiations, agreements and understandings of every kind. The
parties understand, agree and declare that no promise, warranty,
statement or representation of any kind whatsoever, which is not
expressly stated in this Agreement, has been made by any party
hereto or its officers, employees or other agents to induce
execution of this Agreement.
3. This Agreement shall be performable in Williamson County, Texas.

Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County for the use of a
portion of the Central Fire Station by County EMS.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends entering into an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County
for certain renovations to the Central Fire Station. The County will contribute
$50,000.00 to the renovation. Once construction is complete, Williamson County
Emergency Medical Services will be housed at the Central Fire Station at 203
Commerce Street in Round Rock.
