R- 97- 07- 10 -10D WHEREAS, the Texas Forest Service has grant funds available to cities through the Urban Forestry for Public Outreach Grant, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to make application for the available grant funds to establish a tree farm at Old Settler's Park at Palm Valley, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City of Round Rock hereby certifies that the matching share for this application in the amount of $5,000.00 is readily available at this time. Bond Funds, In -Kind Project: Establish Tree Farm at OSPV Summary: Round Rock is participating in the Let's Grow Trees program offered through the Keep Texas Beautiful Council. Next January we will receive 100 saplings that will need managed care until planted. We will continue to participate in this and other programs.
