Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the engineering contract with Rodriguez and Huggins for the improvements to McNeil Road and CR 172 Project. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Jim Nuse STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The City of Round Rock entered into a contract for engineering services with Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc. on March 27, 1997 to design the improvements to McNeil Road at County Road 172. The term of the contract needs to be extended because of delays encountered in the development of the project due to the coordination with TxDOT and the Union Pacific Railroad. These delays are beyond the control of Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc. No change in the scope of work or compensation are contemplated because of this extension in the term of the contract. Staff recommends the City Council approve extending the term of the contract from August 31, 1997 to March 31, 1998.
